I made a decision to adopt from China in January 2006. By February 17th, I'd lucked upon an open singles spot, signed a contract with an adoption agency and begun the "paperchase". By late March, my completed dossier was on it's way to the facilitator for translation. On June 5th, my dossier was sent to China. And on June 14th, 2006 it was logged in. Thus beginning what would become the longest and most difficult wait of my life.
I was told it would only be about 12-18 mths until I saw my daughter's face. So I started right away on my quest for the perfect crib. I knew it had to be white and convert into a toddler bed. After much searching, I finally found it!

A store in Arizona was going out of business and liquidating their inventory on EBay. Even with shipping it was only $225! It was everything I was looking for.
I decided it should be put together right away in case it was damaged or missing a piece. Especially since the store was about to become non-existent.
So in July 2006 my brother came over and assembled Mia's crib in the room that would one day become her nursery. And there it has sat for almost 4 years now.
Still waiting on her......
