Picking the perfect apple green color was not as easy as it seemed.

I was trying to match the fabric in the bedding.

"Temptation" was the winner. Which is usually the case with me.

It took 3 coats to finally get it right. I was so happy to be done with that job!

The ceiling and trim got a fresh coat of white as well.

During the several months it took me to finish the painting, I'd come to the conclusion that I hated the gray carpet.

I ripped it out all by myself. Carpet, padding, tack strips and all. Another horrible job!

Underneath was wood. I thought I'd have it refinished but found it wasn't quality hard wood. It was suggested I'd be better off just to lay a laminate over it.

So for the sake of budget, convenience and durability that's what I did.

Well, actually my brother-in-law and 2 of the T's did.

I love my shiny, dark chocolate, beautiful laminate floor!
